Goodmans Delicatessen was set up in 2008 in the heart of Ventnor High Street. Whilst travelling to Europe and enriched by multicultural lifestyle of London we felt that the continental delights found on the shelves of France, Spain and Italy were missing from the Isle of Wight.
With a little help from friends and family Goodmans Deli was created. We wanted to provide a communal shop where one can experience old fashioned personal customer service, exceptional knowledge of the imported gourmet delights and are happy to provide on-site samples to meet the requirements of the customers. The seated area of the shop allowed us to create an area for the enjoyment of a light bite such as antipasti from the deli counters or a Panini and a good coffee.
We have recently extended our love of continental food in the form of a Bistro at OceanBlue Quay on the esplanade in Ventnor. We were delighted to welcome Adam Fendyke as our Head Chef and we have created a relaxing Mediterranean style Bistro along the seafront. We wanted to create a menu incorporating the gourmet delights on offer at the deli into the Bistro as there is nothing more enjoyable than having a delectful supper cooked in the knowledge that only the best produce is being used!
We also wanted to use local produce too and with our location on the seafront where better to get source seafood than Ventnor Bay. Our specials boards consist of our locally caught seafood dishes as we can never guarantee what the fisherman will bring. The Deli
We are a continental delicatessen and coffee shop based on the High Street in Ventnor, Isle of Wight. The delicatessen specialises in cheese and meats from the continent with over 30 different cheeses in our counters which are selected to be at their best when they are served to our customers. We also stock a range of salami and cured meat from Italy, Spain and France. We are able to assist you in your choice with background knowledge of all cheese and meats found in our shop. You can also enjoy our products as antipasti or as a deli panini in our shop while you watch the world go by. We have a daily menu of recommendations for fillings but if you are feeling a little more adventurous create your own deli sandwich. Also, our baristas serve a variety of espresso based coffee, including the ever-popular Cappuccino and Latte. These can all be enjoyed in our shop or take away if in a hurry.

Goodman's Bistro
Since opening in summer 2009 the Bistro has developed into a place where ladies lunch, families pop in for early supper and couples and friends rendezvous and enjoy the vibrant buzzing atmosphere and exceptional food and wine. We also have our Barista trained staff, as found at our Deli, who offer an array of coffees from a simple espresso to a cappuccino and latte all to be enjoyed with a scrumptious cake, or, indulge and chat over a glass of wine and some light bites from our menu.
Our Kitchen Team, led by our multi-accolade head chef Adam Fendyke, create a resurgence in the art of bistro cooking, they use their expertise to cook continental dishes from local indulgences like our fresh seafood, which is landed within meters of our kitchen, Isle of Wight asparagus and local salad pickings to our continental neighbour offerings of charcuterie and delectable cheeses.
